School Readiness Program

When children start school, they go through a range of different emotions – some cry, some smile, some are nervous and others don’t know what to feel. For this very reason, Suknit’s School Readiness Program is designed for our 18 months and above toddlers. We want to give them their own space and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Our main motives are to help them thrive in their social skills, work on the tool of language and hone their independence. We enable these young minds to a 2 hour session filled with carefully designed creative plays, stories, songs and group activities, to build friendships, express themselves and get comfortable in a learning environment other than home. We place strong emphasis on the development of their language, gross and fine motor skills to give them the right push to enhance their potential. Our play-based approaches from storytelling to creative conversations aid us immensely to build myriad skills from communication skills, developing their numeracy skills, problem-solving capabilities and push them to use their creativity. These activities altogether help children to express their emotions, learn sharing and patience and building trust with their peers. This lays their foundation for formal schooling. On the other hand, we also focus on gently building classroom habits from listening and following instructions, engaging in pre-scheduled age appropriate tasks to honing their imagination and holistic development. Our program ensures that these children get their own attention and their required pace to let their wings fly. As a result, these children are communicative, eager to learn, and have not only excitement but also curiosity for their first day of school because at Suknit, we don’t just prepare them for school, we prepare them for lifelong learning.
